Noticed that Costco now gives you a $70 Costco cash card for tires vs the cash discount.

I ordered tires for the Corolla yesterday and saw that.  Ugh, but I suppose since we shop for most of our groceries at Costco, that's not far from $70 cash for us.

i think that is if you buy online...if you buy in person, i think you get the discount at the till (at least, that's how it was before).

You can double dip!

Get the Costco money card. Then go to the manufacturer website, download the rebate form and send it in.

It works.

Really?  It seems really clear on the Michelin website that Costco purchased tires are not applicable for their rebate.

Friend is looking for new tires for her 2015 Civic. I suggested Costco - Michelin Defenders seem to be a very good deal. Mixed reviews online though, any input here?

Good and cheap tire for her: https://pmctire.com/en/tires/firestone/all-season/firestone-all-season-p215-55r16-93t-bsw.tire

I like PMC Tire as well.  Great prices and service.
Who do you find to install the tires ?

Either a local shop or Costco...

Well The mighty Costco is not infallible. The Ridgeline felt a little harsh and darty. Surprising considering the rep of the Michelin’s. paperwork said inflation 32 psi (rec from Honda). Finally checked: 36,37,37,36.5. Grrr. Air down.  Ahhhh butter.👍

were they just done??...if so, yup, they didn't verify the psi...if they were done when it was cold, and it's warm now, they can account for some psi...as a rough guide, every temperature change of 10F results in a 1 psi change.

Similar temps... 33-34 I could understand. I have been driving this Ridge so long I can discern 32 vs 34 psi.

I've found with most shops I have to fine tune pressures at home.

Noticed the lexus dealer torques my lugs to 100 ft-lbs when the manual calls for 76.  I set my wrench for 80 ft-lbs.

Call them out on it. Get some free lattes.

Until Sunday, buy 4 Bridgestone tires and get a $70 cash card, plus pay 1 cent per tire for mounting, balancing, and installation. $520 taxes in for a set of four Bridgestone Blizzak for my Mazda with $70 cash card on top seems mighty tempting...

Hmmm. Currently riding the old winters on the LR4 but may swap on the marginal summer wheels on and get some blizzaks although they are not in the promo picture.

OK the Blizzaks are offered. I noticed the tire shop was dead last time I was at the local warehouse. They may want to drive traffic there in the dead of summer.

My order is $972 for the LR4 installed. I think there is still gst on top of that. I may order...

$1020 with GST. Not bad for a 255/55-19XL tire.

That's a really good price, installed plus $70 back which is good for like a fifth of an average trip to Costco.

Totally forgot. So yes $950 total, even better. What is best is when the tires are delivered to the store I have them check the date codes. If they are more than a year out I simply return them then and there.

Saw that sale the other day, and as our old CRV refuses to die ordered Ecopia EP422plus all seasons to keep it going a bit more.

With the small 205/70 R15 inch tire size and the rebate, it will be $366 w/taxes and install.
