I've been spraying diluted alcohol on them and then using a mini squeegee from the dollar store to clear them before driving :)
sounds a little OCD....
Being able to use your mirrors is OCD?  Without doing the above, the mirrors are literally useless - frost never goes away.  Not like I do it in the summer months...

Snow brush can't handle most of that? Never seen anyone use alcohol and a squeegee to clean mirrors.

No, sir, a snow brush cannot clear ice off a mirror.

takes it off glass, can't see the difference.  I have used it before when vehicles didn't have this feature.  Especially during ice storms.

Ice.  You know, frozen water that adheres to surfaces...doesn't just "fall off" when brushed?

You scrape mirrors?  Dude...mirror glass is not the same as other auto glass.

...and why would I sit there and scrape when I could just spray?  That's not OCD, it's science.

I don't now.  Don't need to!  ;D

But I do see plenty of people do it.  Even with little credit card type ones.

Another science trick is put a plastic bag (from the dollar store) on the mirrors when you BACK into the driveway.  This prevents them from frosting up in the first place..

I do back into the driveway, even though it means I have to step out on the lawn (mud/snow covered).  I refuse to back out of the driveway, and my wife now understands why...

Of course you do.  I was just emphasizing that you do...  ;)

You two should stop messing up Pi's thread with this nonsense.

I don't like backing into the garage, or backing onto the street.  Luckily our driveway is big enough to get turned around,  so i dont have to do either.  If i didn't have that option then i would be backing into the garage rather than backing onto the street.

I'm always baffled by the amount of people who back onto the street when leaving our house even after i suggest turning around first.

People do the same at my place, and my driveway is almost 250' long and has a very handy turnaround spot.

I am waiting for the comparo!  the fuel economy numbers, his 0-60 numbers.  How many cases of beer can he fit in?  So when he goes to NB, we can put our orders in!  Meanwhile, things got derailed.

Pi understood the risk of thread derailment before he started this one.  I feel no guilt.

In the above picture, you can do footwell, front vents, and windshield. Which is great.
are you sure though?...typically, that top row of switches (with illumination for choice) only allows one option...so you can have footwell and front vents, but if you put the defroster on, it shuts the others off...the 2nd row can have something alternatively chosen (without disengaging the top row)...recirc and/or rear defroster.

Hmmm it can definitely do the 3 of them...I guarantee you.

I've never seen a vehicle do that before...no vehicle I have ever owned allowed that combination...but then, possibly for a reason...if you're trying to defrost/defog the windshield, you want all the air going there, not trickled up top as it's being used on the other modes...for vehicles with ACC, the default setting is footwell (at least in terms of the heat months).

hard to knock it, when you haven't lived with it.  i like it in my fil escape.  Not sure what other mainstream makes have it.  But like I said should be standard.
