Pretty sure HUD is standard on the X5...or at least part of the "Premium Essentials" package which they all seem to come in with.

......I wonder if anyone has ever asked BMW why those features are "essential" yet are part of an option package?  ;D
Old Jag convertible...one itch I won't have to scratch again.

I don't mind the design by the looks.  I was able to build one with V6 for $76K even just a few options. Not too bad, really.

To all manufacturers who can think of nothing more creative than whacking an i-Pad into the top of the dash, please take notes and copy.

Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

That second screen is really low though.

Does JLR not use an iDrive-like controller at all? After using iDrive for a few months I really don't want to go back to just a touchscreen.

I'm curious to see how the screens dim at night.  I recall the Dodge Dart's shifter backlighting being so bright at night that I had to cover it with something in order not to be distracted.

One of these, probably 2.0T version, is in testing at CR.  I'll await and comment then as it is similar sized and optioned as my Envision Prem ll.

I saw a Velar on the road yesterday, VERY impressive in the flesh, even in the slush.  It was white with the black package/roof and pretty sure 22" wheels because they looked massive.

Why am I not surprised?

From Car and Driver long-term test:
Midway through its long-term test, electronic gremlins continue to mar our experience with the otherwise classy crossover.

My friend got one for his wife and returned it in two or three months for a Macan GTS.  He said the infotainment system crapped out too often.  He loves the Macan now.

Infotainment is a disaster on the Jaguar I-Pace too. Tons of issues.
