For my money, I'd get one of the lower trims since all the chassis hardware stays constant (electronics evolve with the budget though). The R Sport trim makes a strange bed partner to the 2.0D, I admit.

Why? It's really just a styling package. Personally I prefer its looks regardless of which powertrain it comes with.

but that was my point

kinda weird having aggressive aero and big intakes etc for a 2.0D, and then labelling it "R Sport"

all show and no go...but hey to each their own, as this is just me and my preference for car styling to ACTUALLY reflect the car underneath - I hate the trend of gaping intakes, vents, etc....wait....THEY ARE ALL FILLED IN WITH PLASTIC.  ::)

What?  ??? The base model has an optional climate package with heated front and rear seats, heated windshield, and heated steering wheel for $1020.
I was building/pricing on my phone - I certainly could have missed that.

So I'm back on the site and I'm a little irritated about the option packaging.  To get ventilated front seats, you have to add both the $2,100 "comfort and convenience pack" and the $2,550 "vision pack".  Similarly, you have to add the $2,550 just to get HIDs - that pack is about $1,000 too expensive for what you get.

You can't add the adaptive dynamics on the Premium trim, you have to go to the Prestige.  Same thing with the heated windshield - not available on the base model, and a $400 standalone option on the Prestige.  And same with the HUD - $1,000 standalone option on mid-trim and above.

Any way I look at it, I'm at $58k +++.  :(

I presume the emissions system is rather complex and expensive.

Does that make this a lease only kinda car?

touche, but at least they are not overwrought and seemingly plastered with go-fast design features that are fake

but I like Italian designs, and am usually not a fan of Japanese ones

to each their own of course

They did it to mimic some of the design cues from the mothership Acura NSX.

And just like some people don't "get" some oddball styling from other makes, some people don't get the whole Japanese robot/manga style.

Like I said above, the heated windshield is part of the cold weather package.

There's a line between manga/anime and hentai.

I don't like all anime. As with all tv, some good, some bad.

Attack on Titan is pretty awesome. I watched that series not long ago.
