The 1.5T would totally transform this car!  It's a good looking car, it just needs a real engine and drive train.  I've actually seen a couple around here within the last month.

I just saw one today and I saw another one 2 weeks ago.

Jackson Racing has been making a supercharger for this car for awhile...and even Honda's aftermarket performance division (HPD) has had a supercharger for a couple of years.

And all of the big tuners (especially those in Japan) make turbo kits for it.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

This.

I think its a great looking coupe, but too bad about the hybrid powertrain. It kinda reminds me of a mini Veloster.

Yeah, I feel like a modded one could be a ton of fun and they're pretty cheap as used buys.

This needs to offer either amazing fuel efficiency with a sporty drive, or a much sportier feel with the current fuel economy.  As it stands now, it's understandably not very compelling.  Would be kind of fun to drive something unique, though.

I'm not sure about this either, look nice, a bit quirky and has some appeal.

At least it gives some flavour to Honda's line-up. Just need to add a new S2000...
I love it when a plan comes together.

Would it really be too expensive for certification and testing for them to put in a new drivetrain?  It would be cheaper than a whole new model, because half the work is done.  All you need is an engine and suspension, the body is done already.  Because we all know common sense says that that would save this model, but obviously Honda thinks it wouldn't be worth it..  Same applies to the RX-8.  All it needed was a new motor and it could have soldiered on.

PS  I wish you couldn't advertise in Imperial mpg... you can't buy an imperial gallon of gas anywhere...

You can in the UK.  But I agree with your point.  Advertise in L/100km or make it absolutely clear whether it is mpg-us or mpg-imp.

There's a lot to like about the CR-Z, just not the hybrid power train. Fully agree the 1.5T (w/six speed manual) could change all that and still be an economical car to drive as well as a lot of fun. There's a need for more of the practical yet fun cars to drive.

Production ceased around June 17th according to what I read elsewhere.

At least they got the looks right: it's stunning in person. I miss the CR-X / NX 2000 / MX-3 days  :'(
