Now of course, the message would need to be a little different – perhaps a prize-winning Wagyu bull set loose in a Swarovski crystal store with a half-pint of wasabi up its bottom. Shards and disruption: from genteel rice-pudding to anime blade-strike, Lexus’s new design language has the subtlety of a Kill Bill fight scene and the angularity of a Dragon Ball Z haircut.
Well...that was putting it...gently?

I love it, Brendan!!!

As for the RX, the styling is getting over the top for me, but whilst I love the spindle grill on the F-sport model (honeycomb), I despise the blade-grille on the non-F trims.  The rest of the package sounds great, and I'm sure the cargo numbers are either a typo or are the by-product of a different method of calculation.

:-X   The NX bug has gone viral at Lexus.
Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach the man to fish and he wakes you up at 5 in the morning.

These gaping grilles didn't make sense to me until I realized they're intended to appeal to mouth-breathers.
And some cretins think I hate cars.

^ That is probably the first time Lexus has been accused of targeted mouth-breathers.

The NX looks good in person, so I'll reserve judgment until I see it.

And yeah, the interior looks great.  I'd still save some dough and get a Highlander for the extra room but for people that are looking for a "lux wagon" this is a nice choice.

Only a single  gas/diesel engine available with 265 lb-ft?

Where's the chrome?!

I see very mildly caricaturized Audi styling cues.
You can't just have your characters announce how they feel.
That makes me feel angry!

 ;D

I do miss the "buy a Lexus and enjoy serene balance and exquisite Japanese craftsmanship; luxury without a single jarring note." version of Lexus.

I guess that doesn't fit into the lookatmelookatmelookatmeFORTHELOVEOFGODWONTSOMEONELOOKATME vibe that's going on these days.
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

I would agree; the Lexus NX isn't the most photogenic vehicle out there. No matter how hard photographers try, they can't get the looks right. Once you see it in person, it's a totally different animal.

It really looks like somebody drove it out of the body shop before being repaired. Lost is any display of luxury where a Hyundai/Kia can look better.

Where did you read diesel?

There is the hybrid version, but IIRC, Toyota/Lexus do not publish combined gas/electric torque numbers for it.

Must be the european method of measuring cargo space of HB vehicles and SUV's below the parcel shelf.

Just stating a point that in class you need more than 260 lb-ft of torque, regardless of engine.

We were just eating outside on patio when I pointed out an NX as the new Lexus, "oh, I don't like it."  Her whole family bhad Toyota's.
