Miata fanbois, let's hear ya!

Honestly, I kind of like it! If this thing sounds like the 500 Abarth, it will be a fun roadster!

The styling isn't as different as I was expecting. But as Blueprint says, if it sounds like the 500 Abarth, it'll be great fun.

It better sound good cause the Miata is a much better looking car to my eyes.  Will this be one of the first reliable Fiat's?

Does the front end look Dodge-like to anyone else?

^^ I thought squished Smart Fortwo.

I agree with Brendan that making the power convertible top would have been smart...the engine choice is also smart.  The better automatic is the smartest.

...but if this is priced above the Miata, I have a feeling this thing won't sell in great #s.

:nono:  This should have been an Alfa.
Agree on the styling, doesn't exactly light the loins on fire.
But -- if I could swap that 1.4T into the MX-5, I probably would.

Front end styling is a little challenging. Lots of metal above the wheel arches. Still always good to have another (hopefully) affordable sports car on the market.

Has some Mazda NB Miata in the front to me. It's then engine I can't wait to try. Also curious on curb weight.

Styling makes it appear to me more of a cruiser than MX-5,  so that poppin' fartin' Abarth engine seems at odds with the intended mission (?)
Will have to wait to see/read how it drives.

Nah.  Wait for the Skyactiv turbo engine.  I wouldn't want anything Fiat to ruin the car.

Probably, but only if serviced by Mazda  ;)

P.s. I see some Dodge Viper in this too, in front and the belt line at the back.
