I would really love to see an AWD comparison done on all these cute utes. I think the AWD alone on this thing would push it more towards the top of the list. The front end is not well done, but otherwise, good looking car.
Lighten up Francis.....

good idea...an interesting comparo (if it can even be done, it is hard to get vehicles together at the same time), would be a nice comparison in winter where you can test the various vehicle's abilities...assuming all vehicles have AWD and snow tires equipped...kind of like a "What is this vehicle like to live with when the weather turns to crap" sort of thing...maybe you could do some testing in a large empty parking lot, that hasn't been plowed yet...kind of like MotoringTV's Test Drive circuit (i think it is at Woodbine), but done in the snow.
When you've lost the argument, admit defeat and hit the smite button.

Not sure about other compact SUVs, but to challenge the Outalnder and the Forester at least, you will need more than an unplowed parking lot.

i'm not looking for something Jeep-lite...i think something similar to an unplowed parking lot would be a fairly realistic surface that many people experience in some nasty winter weather days...i think an Outland with SAWC and the Forester would do quite well, and would really show the differences between their systems and what most of the others use (CRV, RAV4, etc).
