Finished my 'to-do' list on this over the weekend and enjoyed some top-down miles thanks to some rare exceptional May weather. Onto the Morgan next....

Shot these photos in terrible lighting, knowing better.

Thanks, the interior definitely went from the worst part of the car to probably the nicest part.

lol, yeah, thanks...She's already gone  :-[
Really nice family bought it with/for their 20 year old daughter....She was shopping for a 70's/80's SL as a summer toy and her mom convinced her that an SLK was a better option. She saw it, drove it, and was in love. I feel great about it going to a really good home, with a family of car enthusiasts, plus, the world needs more young blondes driving 20 year old Mercedes convertibles.  ;D

I miss it already though, it was a perfect 'getting lunch' car for my WFH situation. Jump in, drop the top, take a little spin, grab some food and come home with a smile...having not wasted a ton of fuel. If I had more appropriate parking available I definitely would've hung onto it.

I'd still like to find a nice SLK32 AMG....

WOW, congrats (I guess) on the sale. Cool that a young girl bought it  :skid:

I feel the same with my SLK, drop the top & go run small errands, though the V8 does suck back more fuel than yours did, it's still better on gas than my Passport & miles more fun. Last week when I was coming home from somewhere with the top down I was thinking how my plan was to sell it this spring to take advantage of the used car madness, but then I was thinking it will always be nice to have it in the stable (much to Bella's ammusment of me wanting too many cars) and just add something else interesting once the used market cools down  ;D

Thanks guys!

Yeah, I was really happy to see it go to an enthusiastic young owner. I did good $ wise on it, but these early SLKs are really pretty cheap on the market for what they offer. I delivered it to the new owners, they're about 45 minutes north of my place (maybe 15 minutes north of Rockwood for those familiar with the area). Warm evening, twisty back roads roads, top down....One of the most enjoyable drives I've had in quite awhile, and in a car just about anyone (within reason I guess) could afford to purchase outright and run.

Cars like this restore my faith in the fact that you can have a fun and reliable summer toy for really minimal $.
