As tested nearly $80k  :o

They better hope it is finished nice. In reality Volvo needs to make a moderately equipped version and push them out the door with subvented leases.

This and the new Q7 will be on my list if I don't go for Rover #3.  Perhaps go with a cheaper AWD car and a Jeep unlimited (used) next time though..

That's my point.  This is a perfect segment for diesel engines, not these massively contrived dual charger or electric boost things.  I understand there's a need to push technology but adding a high mileage diesel as an engine choice is already being done by all the other competitors in this segment.  Even Jeep...

Heck, even the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport now offer a diesel.

Considering the number of Grand Cherokees I see with the EcoDiesel badge around here, there's certainly a market for it.  Even as a $7000(!!) option.

Gorgeous vehicle in and out, but that 4 cyl would cause me being hesitant to drag out the cheque book

Yup my thoughts exactly.  Now if it was a 4 cyl. Red Block on the other hand... ;D

Where's the check box for the V6 Turbo Diesel T6 AWD R-Design on the build and price? 4 cyl only? Pass.
Nice looking though.

Agreed, for that price and in this segment the 4 cyl just does not cut it for me.

I LOVE what Volvo has done with the design inside and out.

Even with all the technology available these days, 4-banger in a vehicle of this size and mass isn't enough for me.  I'd be concerned that the engine will crap out in a long run.  The hybrid option with 400hp sounds good, but it gets too expensive.
