It's been done.  ;D
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

Do you honestly think they are going after the big boys?? If they make something as remotely capable as a Tacoma I would be highly surprised.

What do you mean by big boys? They aren't targeting North America, so they're targeting trucks like the Hilux and Ranger. Why wouldn't this truck be at least as capable in terms of hauling/towing as those?

Ram/F-series/Sierra.......besides, the Hilux, Ranger, L200 have a long standing history of being highly reliable and capable trucks, I doubt this new comer will make a dent in the market

Ram/F-series/Sierra aren't relevant to MB. They barely have a presence outside of North America.

that's still a commercial vehicle though.    This is looking like they want to enter the Ridgeline / Tacoma / Colorado / or even full size market (not sure of size by the capabilities listed look mid-size)...   I just can't picture too much of a market for a MB mid-size or full size truck.

People already say mid-size trucks are expensive.   Can you imagine the increase price for having an MB grill?
again, I don't know who would buy that.

I think it is more like a M-series SUV with a box:

Not too hard to engineer. Not that they'll ever figure out the electrics  :D

And as far as the market, they seem to sell enough of these to make it worthwhile:

Starting at $122,000

^ The already went down that road, well kind of.

I agree that it will likely be an ML spin-off of some kind.
