My folks have a 4 cylinder FWD Sorrento from this generation and they've been happy with it. It rarely snows around here and they just drive in the city so the AWD and V6 weren't in the cards. Reliability wise, I don't think they've had many issues and it's only been in for routine maintenance.
Having driven it several times, it's very roomy, has a comfortable ride, and power is ok though you have to keep it in the high rev range to get it moving and for passing. Features are quite good for the given price and fuel economy is in the 12 to 13's (city driven only).
