On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

I'd tend to think Land Rovers are crazy problematic on a good day, and that's without a convertible top, so just imagine the problems people will be having with these things...

...assuming people actually buy them haha

At first glance, a convertible off-roader seems a ludicrous idea, but the Jeep Wrangler is a convertible, so why the hell not, right?

Right.  :shake:

And in other news....BMW is bringing back the Isetta because they ran out of other models to create.

Well this is likely going away soon, so I guess an Evoque convertible is the logical replacement.

I agree it isn't apples and oranges but it's not as if what Land Rover is doing is unprecedented.

No, Nissan just tried and failed.

I wasn't talking about the Nissan.

This is different though. The Nissan was likely sold mainly in the U.S. and I think most people thought it was ugly (unlike the Evoque). The Range Rover will be sold in many markets, some of which are likely more receptive to this sort of car (the markets where the G cabriolet is sold, for example).

Beverly Hills and Dubai.....lots of rich people with poor taste. This and the convertible Nissan are so much the same kind of vehicle, something so bad that only wealthy people with "0" taste will find attractive.
