It doesn't matter that HP and TQ have their own y-axes, the indepedent variable (engine speed) is the same for both dependent variables (HP and TQ), and thus they are on the same x-axis.


Am I losing my mind? Could be.   :P ;D  The graph shows them crossing at about 4700,  the torque and hp numbers aren't close to equal where they cross.  However if you look at approximately 5252, torque is about 350, hp is about 350.

Nah, you're still quite sane BC - I think!  You are right, they HP and TQ are pretty close at 5252 rpm taking into account the different y-axis.  It looks like the TQ might be a bit higher - maybe 360, vs 350 HP, but it's probably "smoothed" numbers anyway, so maybe they are identical.  Dyno could be based on a legit reading....but colour me skeptical until it comes from a 3rd party.

Wheww, OK, I stared at that for a while questioning myself.  Dyno is surely doctored though, as mentioned, looks like all the noise was filtered out and the flat torque curve looks, ummm, too flat.  :)

Clearly this one has the HP and TQ curves crossingmeeting at 5252rpm.

They're all smoothed to some extent. Probably just for aesthetic quality. Anyone who really cares will know its heavily smoothed anyway.

You can't just have your characters announce how they feel.
