Will it carry a 4x8 sheet of plywood is the real question.

i'm willing to bet no. if you did the whole remove the seats with the bolts... possibly.

the way that seat moves forwards is slick, but it still looks to be a foot+ that it takes up. with stow n go, a 4x8 *just* fits... and that is with no seats at all to contend with and the front seats not all the way back. so i would think you are hanging out the back by over a foot.

but for as often as most people need to do that... tie the hatch down and you are fine.
i used to be addicted to soap, but i'm clean now

Have a Town and Country as a rental while the Odyssey is getting fixed..

The Stow n Go seats are much worse than I expected... so bad that that I moved from the captains chairs to the rear seats. In any case, I can say with certainty that the 2009 Odyssey is much more comfortable in every seat than the town and country

going to the rear seats is odd... because they are worse for sure... unless you don't do any adjusting or put the armrests down on the captains chairs. people seem to sit, hate them, then move on... rather than put down the armrests, slide the seat back, then recline... still not amazing, but livable for sure.

but yeah, not the best seats in the house. not even as good as the cloth seats in a 2004 grand caravan... but the folding comes at a cost. for many, worth it. who cares how comfy the second row is if hardly anyone sits there or if it's for car seats? and that is what primarily goes there. nothing or car seats. (or kids, and who cares if they are comfy!?!

Fair enough, I'm just giving my perspective. This segment is all about versatility, and some value certain features more than others. And for me, a big part of the appeal of a minivan is road trip cruising, but the stow n go seats are just not pleasant for that.
I did recline the seats a bit, etc, but it was just not that comfortable. I just folded the captain seat, and used it as a foot rest :p.

Typical showing from Kia in the latest minivan comparo from Car & Driver...dead last lol. A general air of cheapness seemed to sour them.

I know motor trend placed it first in their comparo, I just trust C & D a bit more. I just could not would not pay as much for a Kia as a comparable Toyota or Honda van.

if Motor Trend placed it first, and Car and Driver placed it last, it seems its placing is more of a result of subjectiveness of the testers than actual factual, logical reasoning.

case in point, i've watched plenty of reviews of the Suzuki GW250 motorcycle...most reviews were actually quite positive and gave the bike solid praise...one review, done by a bunch of "enthusiasts" from one of those Motorcycle sites (who likely all own high end supersports bikes) gave the bike a mediocre review, panning the bike for its lack of power (it's a 250, idiots) and handling (despite other reviewers saying they loved the handling of it).
When you've lost the argument, admit defeat and hit the smite button.
