Yep, that was the report from multiple sources after the Legacy reveal. I can't imagine the new Outback will have a M/T if the Legacy doesn't...but I'd love to be wrong. :)  I'm really, really trying to like the current Outback, but I just can't get over its bulbous appearance (and horrible body cladding).  The previous gen looked so much better IMO (though still not as nice as the Legacy wagon).  I can't imagine that the "new" Outback will be that much of an improvement over the current version, unless it ditches its "puffy" appearance.
