I don't understand why the X is so necessary. The TL nameplate is getting killed and that was probably the best known Acura sedan...even after the 4th gen flop.
"...getting killed" is a little much, don't you think?
The addition of the X likely denotes the availability of AWD, but is more so probably a product of a study group suggestion that Generation "X", the targeted age group (birth dates from the early 1960s to the early 1980s), feels some sort of nostalgia with the letter X.
Hmmm....I do like the sounds of TLX better than TL. It works!
