Which wheels have the power is the big question.

Yup, another stylish FWD coupe wont exactly make Kia a hot commodity. I mean the Koup they have right now looks decent enough but isnt as sporty as a Civic Si/GTi/Focus ST/Fiesta ST so its a non player in the hot compact department.
Lighten up Francis.....

Veeeerrrry interesting. If that's a hatch on the back and Subaru is really not bringing the WRX hatch to our market, then all I have to say is Hello Kia!

I think 2+2 kind of implies a RWD drive shaft. A RWD sports coupe is whats missing in KIA lineup, so there is a good chance for that.

Not really.  For example the Integra was a great sport coupe and it was FWD.  A fwd Mini will out handle a rwd Mustang with ease.   It all depends on how well it's done.

"...will probably be similar to the Hyundai Veloster in proportion and driveline."

"This little tidbit of information could hint at the vehicle being rear-wheel drive, possibly with the same running gear as the Hyundai Genesis Coupe."

Yep, that makes sense.  :popo:  ::)

The first one is a probably. The second thing is a possibly. Details are really lacking on this one. Kia keeps things pretty close to the chest.

The only way to reconcile the two ideas would be for the new car to be like the Toyobaru twins...but I don't think Hyundai/Kia have such a platform.

Shortened Genesis Coupe BK platform...maybe. It's possible. I think.

This is the kind of cars Kia should be developing to upkeep its youthful sporty image. So chances are it will be something similar to a Gen Coupe but with a touch of Audi. I wonder how close to the production car this concept will be. It'll need to be priced very cautiously to compete with the new 'Stang.
