I've seen a few on the road here, like once a week? Compared to several an hour for the Prius. They were trying to undercut the Prius by about $3k or so, but $3k gave you a significantly lesser car. The interior looks cheap. It was smaller. Used more gas. It was not worth it to begin with, then Toyota beat Honda at their own game by releasing the Prius C.

Looking at the title of this thread, Honda should think carefully about how they announce the end of their insight.

I could argue it was discontinued around 2005.  :)

I honestly can't remember that last time I've seen an Insight.  A couple of years ago perhaps.

Too bad but the Honda system simply does not compare well to that of the Prius.  The system in the new Accord though should definitely find its way into a smaller model.

If they come out with a hybrid Fit and as well as the Civic, I really can't see a place for the Insight.  It's not a bad car, just not good enough.

Pretty reasonable on the used market compared to the Prius.

Cheers,
John M.

Very punny.  Well played.

Agreed.  Definitely no match for Toyota's hybrid system.

Should have just offered a Fit hybrid.
