Topic: Electrics are to make some serious noise

I think one of the best things about electric cars is the near silent operation.

 


i don't get it.   people complain about urban noise / noise pollution.  but now, ohhhh it's TOO quiet.
people open your eyes!  (walkers / bikers / drivers) and pay attention around you!!!

ok... i'll admit i've never thought about blind people.  But that sounds like some politically correct scape goat to justify adding noise.   So what about walking people?  Bicycles?  Sounds we all be fitted with noise making belts so people around us can hear everything coming at them?

Another smart way around it is to have blind ppl carry electronic transmitters which would be detected by nearby moving EVs and turn on their noise generators.
Anyway, if I happen to buy an EV at some point and it's noisy, you bet there will be a custom switch installed in the cabin
