At least the front end looks better than the the redone Mazda CX9,and you never really here people complain of Infinity quality and service like Mazda. Sorry for the rant I own a CX9 and can attest to poor service and quality control and cost cutting issues at near Infinity prices.

Get it off your chest Steve, you'll feel better.

It appears the looks of this thing have left everyone else speechless.

so is QX70 the smaller engined model?  (like FX37 prior)?  what is the bigger engined model name?

i glanced the title and thought it was another thread about G37 replacement.  (Q something)..

once again, i'm reminded....
f-ing Infiniti, wTF were they smoking when they came up with this name scheme..

you'll get used to it. i'm usually terrible with numbers, but i have the infiniti system down now. Trim names go QX70 3.7-litre and QX70 5.0-litre, according the their media site.

however, their website is still a mix of the old and new naming scheme - what a mess!

I dig the looks of this thing…one of the few CUVs that looks like nothing else. One of my favourite Infinitis.

I'm guessing they looked at Lincoln and thought if they could have a series of meaningless names that no one recognizes why can't we?  We have ugly cars too.

I really like this SUV/CUV/station wagon/SAV....whatever the hell it is. Looks absolutely stunning and with the V8 goes and sounds awesome. Well done Infinity. Stupid names though, what was wrong with the FX37 and 50?!?!?!?!?!
Lighten up Francis.....

I would like one if I didn't need extra room of a larger C/SUV.   It looks nice in that colour!

Isn't this car due for an overhaul soon?

In an effort to look different, lately we have seen the Toyota with the 4Runner and now this Infiniti thing come up with some strange designs...Don't get me wrong I like something a little different, but we these two choices I would rather be bland like the Pathfinder or something...

I like it a lot, but preferred the look of the old one better!  I almost bought an FX-35 a few years back, but cheaped out until debt free.  Maybe next year!  ;D  Only PIA is no local dealer, but these things tend to be very reliable.

Same.  It's really nice inside too.  The naming is so stupid though, but I guess it makes it difficult to tell who got the V6 versus V8.

The CX-9 is the last of the remaining Fomoco products I think.

They could've at least used the last digit to denote the number of cylinders: QX76 and QX78. It would be immune to changing displacements such as from 3.5 to 3.7.
