You never seen a Weismann before Snowy?  They are very nice.

Funny...Last night I just saw the Top Gun re-run on BBC America with the Weismann vs. Russian-made TVR.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

The thing that scares me is the prices in the text for service and repairs.  Sheesh!  The guy was asking $15K not long ago.  If he gets to $3K I might snatch it up...

June 19, 2008 - Recondition and resurface both heads, replace both leaking head gaskets and all related gaskets, replace front timing chain, gears and gaskets, remove and reseal oil pan gasket ($3,746) - October 7, 2008 – replaced both leaking oil cooler lines ($419.15) - November 7, 2008 – Mount and rebalance 4 new tires, replace defective starter, replace rear brakes including bearing service and calipar replacement. ($2504.64) - June 10, 2010 – replaced front brakes ($1,346.14) - November 2, 2011 – replaced starter with brand new starter ($631.87)

That's why I'd get a Defender, way way better than any of the Disco's.

I suppose that if timeless is the word you would have to consider a car that was made in the thiries maybe and still being made pretty much the same way today in the same place. The Morgan...not the Aero though. Can't get more timeless than that I think.

And also why a nice Defender 90 is $15K+ and a similar age Disco is <$5K.  But, it's a real case of "you get what you pay for..."

Agreed, that's why I'd import one.

Colleague at work has a 1980 Land Cruiser.  Pretty awesome rig.  He daily drives it.

Don't have a good photo of it, but Google has a decent one in our office parking lot: http://goo.gl/maps/76i8m

Still such a gorgeous car. Met a lovely couple at the brit car show in oakville, they took us through their very well documented e-type restoration.  It was amazing, a complete wreck from a fire to an absolutely amazing car!
