hmm.   aluminium is much weaker than steel though, for sheet metals.  i wonder if this trend of aluminium body cars will lead to increased door dings and higher repair cost in general.  but i guess one would have to wait and see, as aluminium body is still rare as hen's teeth in the market.  off the top of my head, only XJ, A8, 458 ...has full aluminium body.
