Click link to watch a CTS-V wagon drag race a 911 Turbo. It's worth it.

A simple ECU flash for the Porsche, and the tables are turned.  Severely.

From a marketing stand point this is very clever. Most of us agree that the Cadillac Sport Wagon cannot beat the Porsche 911 on a regular racing track. However it is good to show that the Cadillac can at least put a good fight in some circumstances.

Yea, but with the right "circumstances" an Elantra could beat a ZR-1.....

Just depends who's setting the "circumstances"...

Yeah, the company said it would run 12.1 instead of 11.7 without Drags.  .4 at that speed is a big difference.  They should have run it with street tires, let the Porsche Turbo win at 11.8.  The Caddy coming in .3 seconds behind the Turbo is pretty good still.

The CTS-V wagon is a wonderful thing.  Very happy to see an American company (of all things) producing such a luxo-performance-wagon.  Gives one hope that just maybe BMW will reverse course at some point in the future and bring back their wonderful wagons (along with other manufacturers).

Though being a German fanboi, I might prefer this: http://www.autoblog.com/2011/02/24/alpina-b5-biturbo-touring-coming-to-geneva-motor-show/

Drool.

Tiptronic transmission and lack of LED tail lights means its a previous generation 911 Turbo. What was the point of doing that drag race? To show that a tuned car can beat a stock car that's old? Not knocking the Caddy, in fact I love the CTS-V wagon. Just think they're comparing apples to oranges here.
