Congrats TopGun. A '59-er? Whoa. Indeed ancient by model year standards but nearly appears current judging by the Cessnas I can spot in the sky. Are most I see from decades ago or the majority more current?

Thanks Aquadude.  Although it's close to the same aircraft, most of what you see in the sky are early '70's...the heydey of general aviation...before the lawyers got involved suing Cessna for everything.

At the end of the 150/152 model run (1985), 50% of the $41,000 price of the airplane was due to product liability.

If you are still reading this post, I would like to know if you have the paper work for the 1959 Cessna.   I have one too and can't find the Load graph that has a picture telling me if I am in the envelope for weight and balance CG.   If you have it let me know, I'd like a copy.

Thanks

If what your after is the general W&B typical 'based on a fleet average' for a '59 c150 then I would say any owners/user manual for that type/year would suffice. If you however are after the actual W&B for your aircraft then this would be part of the equipment/maintenance logs.

Aircraft Weight and Balance
1. Equipment List must be updated with any change. This will include a change in
the Basic Empty Weight of the aircraft as well as a change in aircraft moment.
2. Each piece of equipment must be listed including its location (weight and arm).
3. The latest amendment shall be used for all weight and balance calculations.
4. In regards to aircraft reweighing:
a. For aircraft less than 12,500 lbs, the aircraft must be reweighed at an
AME’s discretion.
b. For aircraft 12,500 lbs and greater, the aircraft must be reweighed every 5
years in addition to changes in the permanent equipment.

Hope this helps.

Well...I've got the users manual that Railton describes.  My scanner is out of commission right now...when I get it up and running, I'll blast you a copy through the Personal Mail.
