All those empty buses zooming around North York and Scarborough. But thats why the tax rates have to rise whether the people like it or not.
The north york subway is empty whenever I've ridden it (not much), although the buses look packed to me at least during the commutes.
Regardless, I don't think public transit is the budget breaker.
We need a corporate slash-and-burn specialist to come in and fire half of all city employees and close a bunch of departments.
Need the same thing at Queens Park. Just look up the sunshine list to see the names of thousands of ontario civil servants who were paid >$100,000 last year and how much they made.
