Cool, looks good!

How do insurance companies take to mods here, they don't really like them in the UK...

Choosing a car based on reliability is like choosing a wife based solely because she is punctual. There is more to it than that...

What mod?  (wink, wink).  Since Vishnus is an ECU mod, the insurance company won't need to know.  Wheels and exhaust?  Kinda a company to company thing.  Keep your receipts in case..and photos.  Beyond that....don't tell them too much about the mods.  :)
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

insurance companies go to DEFCON3 when they hear the word 'mod' or 'tune'

I would go with a COBB ECU package because you can DIY and remove the programming if needed. With Vishnu you have to remove the ECU and mail it out to California to be programmed.....far too risky.

I know a BMW owner that bought an OE ECU to have ready to swap back in, and then found out they have to be coded to the car.  Oh, and no return on electrical parts.  So, he took it in and had it coded, but then the old ECU is now not right.  He shipped the old ECU off for modding, but it wouldn't work.

In the end, he shipped the newest ECU of for mods and sold the old ECU to some unsuspecting dude on ebay.

Make a plan for mods, figure out what works for you, and then implement it.  Save money and hassle.  I've seen lots of Cobb modded Scoobs, and their work is amazing.  Very high quality and reliability.

I suggested Vishnus since they have mastered what's needed to work around/with the complicated TC-SST transmission.  With a manual..yea, no worries..tune it yourself and Cobb is a great product.  With that Lancer tranny I'm not sure I'd feel comfortable with it.

Nothing risky about mailing an ECU.  No riskier than mailing anything else.  I mailed a whole ECM.  I mean...I've never lost anything using UPS or Fedex...though I suppose it's possible.
