Interesting.
Another alternate fuel for cars that was tested. They compared the potency of human and cow excrement.

My Dad remembers wood gas vehicles from Germany in the war, when there simply wasn't any gasoline around for civilian use. It's not fast IIRC, and stops are frequent to refill the boiler, but it does work.
