Lethbridge Street Wheelers Weekend - pics
« on: July 17, 2008, 11:01:38 am »
Lethbridge Street Wheelers Weekend is the big event in Lethbridge - almost the whole town comes out - its crazy. Anyway there is a show and shine, cruise (they shutdown a couple major roads), drag races and auto-x. I didn't go to the drag races but did go to everything else.

pics:

Cruise

and a few selected samples

Goes into the night. The old Lethbridge water tower - its now been converted to an upscale restaurant.

Do you realize that in about 30 (updated as requested) years, we'll have millions of old ladies running around with tattoos?

Some nice looking vehicles for sure, same as everywhere across Canada with this old Hobby of collecting these older vehcles. A friend of mine had that 1955 Pontaic wagon years ago in the same colour. Nice to see again in that great of condition. That 1953 Monarch will have the old flathead engine in it with the 255 cid engine unless its been replaced at one time or another with the Ford version.  :)

Monarch still has its stock motor and even the vacumn powered wipers! Talked to the owner for quite a while - he owns quite a few Canadian cars.
