Do I insur my trailer?
« on: September 29, 2008, 08:24:59 am »
MMight be a stupid question. Just bought my first small utility trailer for the car. I was wondering if I should get in insured. Not worried about value of trailer ($800) but the liability if trailer becomes cause of accident some how. Like blown tire, faulty hitch or cargo falling out causing damage. Not sure if this would be covered by car insurance.
If you want more in life you have to make an effort.

Liability is covered under the car policy.  You gotta phone and notify that you occasionally pull a utility trailer.  Usually no charge, but not much if they do.  Like 20 bucks.
