1994 GMC Safari help
« on: October 26, 2005, 02:53:31 pm »
Hello guys,

Question for ya all.  My father has a 1994 GMC Safari XT van.  He is running DUNLOP SP40 a/s size:   P215/75R15 right now and needs to replace 2 of the front tiers only, as the rear ones have about 75% still left on them.  I'm told that the SP40 tires have been discontinued, so as not to end up with tires that have been sitting in a warehouse for a few years he is thinking of getting 2 newer models prob. Michelin Harmony or something like that.  But is it ok to mix different brands of tires? Is there any ICBC insurance concerns or legal issues in doing this?  Any other sugestions for tires for this vehicle.

Thanks

Bob

No problem with 2 different set of 2. Just want to make sure they run in pairs on the same axle and have similar tread depth.
