Topic: Dunlop WinterSport M3 or Pirelli Snowsport 210/240?

Hi guys, I need some help? I am driving a 2006 Audi A4 Q - Tire size is 235/45/17 - Which one of the above is better? They are quite expensive though. Or should I go for the cheaper Kumho? Thanks

I have the 210 on our 04 A4 1.8TQ Avant and the M3 on my 97 328i.  With two winters on the 210s and one on the M3s I think I like the M3 a bit better in the wet and dry.  Snow is hard to compare as the Audi trashes the bimmer in the snow (duh).  Overall, I don't think you can go wrong with either, but I'd probably lean a bit towards the M3.

DS-2 and the Sport M3 are different animals. On an e46 you definitely want to be looking at tires like the 210 and Sport M3. Sport M3 will give you better deep snow and standing water ability. The 210 probably has a little more highway manners (stability).

Thanks guys. I've decided to go for the M3 - woohoo!!! Cost me $1000 CDN!! I know I can go for a cheaper one - Kumho which costs me only $700...well, what the heck!

$1000?  Are you using stock rims? 

M3 is definitely the right choice for that car.  With those tires plus the Quattro you will be looking for the snow.

Sport M3 is a great tire. I dont think you can make a wrong choice between those 2 tires.
