Okay.  Something that I've noticed, but never had an explanation for.

On trucks/busses/delivery vehicles and some big pick-up trucks, you see that the drive wheels have convex (for lack of a better term) wheels...  and the rest have concave wheels.

What's the reasoning behind this?

The reason the rears seem to have dish is they are duals. If you were to unbolt the rear wheels to expose the inner assembly you would see a wheel that looks similar to the front. They are designed this way so that they bolt together. You have an inner and an outer and the shape allows the 2 mounting surfaces to be close together when bolted onto the vehicle.

Actually, I think it is like people's navels. Some of them have in-ies, and some have out-ies. It is all a matter of looks :o
