Topic: 1999 Impreza how much is it worth?

My father in law is looking to sell is 1999 impreza but has no clue how much it is worth because of the high mileage. it has 266000 km on it. I was also thinking of taking it of his hands since I only drive 10 kms to work and it has awd on it. Does anybody know the value of this car.

My other option is to buy a 1997 Golf with 244000kms and they are asking 1500$.

Has your dad-in-law owned the Impreza from new?  Does he maintain his vehicles accordingly?  In my opinion, provided the Impreza isn't a POS, you're better off with a vehicle you know.

Standard shift or auto? What model? and what MrT asks.

If your in Ontario you should be tax excempt on the PST.

The 97 Golf with unknown service history will be misery.

Best let him come up with a price.

Get him to drop into the local used car stealer and get a price off them if they will even bother to give him one.

The car is worth 3k with a standard shift and recent clutch uncertified if in good running condition.

IT is an standard, model TS. I know that he has changed the clutch on it once and they do their regular oil changes.
