I guess the question is, how do you use your Miata now? Do you track? Drive in bad weather? Is maximum grip in the dry your main desire, longevity, price?
My Golf R came with conti’s and they were very good. I put Firehawk Indy 500 on them at the end and they were equally as good in my eyes. My GLI I swapped the all seasons to General Tire G Max RS and those were also very good and we’re holding up really well after two years that I had them before trading in the GLI. My Civic Si has Dunlop Sport Maxx and I really like these too. Even though they are summer performance rubber, they seem to be really good even on colder damper pavement.
These are all “best value” summer performance tires, and are more than good enough for daily driver and extracting the performance of these vehicles. I would recommend any of these.
