My daughter's BF had a Model X on order last year. He refused 3 in a row when they each arrived with assembly defects and/or had multiple issues show up on the acceptance test drive. Finally gave up and bought a Range Rover.  ( I know....out of the frying pan into the fire  ::) )
Old Jag convertible...one itch I won't have to scratch again.

The joys of ownership in a Canadian winter?

https://mobilesyrup.com/2022/01/07/update-kills-heat-some-tesla-vehicles-cold-canadian-winter/

Yup.

That being said if it was truly -40 then why are they shuttling kids around? If they are then all passengers should have  an arctic survival suit or equivalent packed in the car with them to allow survivability at those temps in case things go sideways. I bet most have at best an off-brand Canada goose parke and no proper boots or mitts. Still not enough at -40.

I hope they (will?) do extensive test under such -40C conditions, most residential heat pump gave up below -25C, they still need assistance of resistive heater ( or alternative source of heat)
