Can we get a vid of this thing running?  I'd like to hear it.

I'm not trying to shirk my responsibility...but check out  videos with Honda MT250 on YouTube.

No doubt better videos than I could produce.

Sigh...I think I set my float wrong.

So hard to set float and measure alone.

If they stay at the same elevation carbs are ok. For riding that has big elevation changes then I say good riddance.

When I was racing, I kept a weather and elevation diary for jetting

That's a must.

and why carbs are a pita. Some days we see 4000-5000' elevation changes. Just have to put up with some richness as no one wants to fiddle with carbs during the day. A laughable moment was a few years ago when my buddy was too lazy to rejet his Baja setup on a KTM 570 (stroked 520)  and we were doing a ride at 8000'. I think his bike was making like 3 hp.  ;D

2 minutes?  It would take me that long to get off bike get tool kit open and find the right jet. Loosen the clamps, rotate the carb and then drop the bowl in the field? Repeat on the way up and then back down and then at the next pass repeat the process? I am a luditie but FI is so much nicer. Add in the better economy and no brainer until pump dies in the middle of nowhere lol.

My carbs had a large drain bolt on the bottom of the bowl. Remove large drain bolt and jet is right there. No need to remove bowl.

Easy peasy.

What's elevation?    My bikes have probably never been above 400ft

Sorry I was not clear. Drop the bowl is slang for accessing the jets in my parts (or least it was).

Somewhat unrelated, but related.  I watch a series on Youtube about a guy and his team restoring a classic sailing yacht.  One of the girls on his team is into old motorcycles.  Look what popped up in this week's video.
