Went to Flyin' Miata's summer camp this past summer. For some reason I can only post one or two photos at a time.
Enjoying the Alberta advantage

More. Coming down Pikes Peak you have to stop for a mandatory brake check. Too hot and you have to pull off to a parking lot to cool down. You could smell a LOT of overheated brakes coming down. Guys riding the brake pedal all the way down. ::)

Yeah, that looks great! Took a quick look, and seems like the summer camp included some track time? I bet that was even better.

I drove up Pike’s Peak back in the 80s when the top half was gravel. Was still a blast, but even in a Pathfinder it was annoying to get stuck behind slow pokes. Must have been a drag in a Miata. Or did they close the road for the event & you guys had it to yourselves?

Pikes Peak was not part of the camp. Yeah you get behind some slow pokes for sure. We did get to go the Colorado National monument after hours. That was a blast. Very twisty roads. The road from Grand Junction to Colorado Springs [Pikes Peaks] was awesome. Very little traffic. You could really get some nice speeds up.

Looks great. I came close to joining that but had just been up that way.  Looks like a fun day!
