This is going to fly off the shelves like crazy, especially given the federal/provincial rebates.  I think Toyota has done an awesome job on this.

A hybrid that is better than the gas engine its based off of....Toyota won't be able to keep these in stock. I wonder how much they are going to have to discount the non hybrid ones to get rid of them??
Lighten up Francis.....

The last time i checked, they had 2K off the non hybrid model and there is still a wait time for the hybrid model.

When the truck's paid off, I'm going to have to seriously consider one of these for the wife.  She's particular to the Mazda CX-5, but maybe I can sway her over to a Rav4 Prime.

Since Toyota won’t be able to keep up with demand, I think it would have been a better strategy to offer it in a $60K Lexus rather than a $45K Toyota and make more profits with it.

I think the reasoning behind doing the Rav4 was because it was already built to support PHEV and none of the Lexus SUV's are built for that yet.  The RX is on the Highlander platform, the UX is on the Corolla platform, and the NX is on the previous generation Rav4 platform.

I can see only one problem...

I'm waiting to see if they put that drivetrain in the Corolla...then I'll wish I could be in...and won't need a blindfold to drive it.  ;)
