Michelin MXM vs Conti Pure Contact LS
« on: September 06, 2019, 10:12:35 am »
Hi: New here but hoping to learn & have fun! :) :)

Here is my questions(s) I just recently leased a 2019 Accord Touring 2.0....like the car very much(obviously as leased it!!LOL) But noticed the Michelin's ride a bit rough in the city.....I know the low profile tires are like that(235/40 R 19). But have done online shopping & saw on tire rack & else where really good things about the Pure Contact LS tires & started me thinking about making the switch to them...so 2 ? will the Conti's be better in terms of comfort(again realize low profiles ride harder) but will the ride be better with the pure contact LS???Also noticed the Michelin's are ok on  wet roads but at least on Tire Rack's site the Continental's are much better??Thanks for any advice /feedback on this!!

both are highly rated tires...i'd consider either when they need to be replaced, but i doubt switching off them now is going to really improve anything...40 series 19" tires ride hard regardless of what's there...there's no sidewall.

Those michelins are great but if you are looking for softer quieter ride consider General Altimax RT43. They are highly rated as well. Don't know if they come in your size though.

IMO, Pirelli P7 Plus is the gold standard for comfortable, quiet ride.

Second that.  (Assume we're talking about the Pirelli P7 All Season Plus?) They handle surprisingly well, too!  Have them on the MINI.

Had a set of Conti Pure Contact LS. Traction in dry and wet roads was great. Smooth and quiet on the highway.
