i have a die cast model of one of these as these were one of my favourite cars (mine was red, though)...i'd likely never buy one for fear of bankrupting me in repairs, but i do like them.

I really love the looks of these but would probably need a reserve fund equal to the capital cost to buy one in the first place.   Cool car though!  8)

The V12 was essentially two inline sixes sharing a crank. To that end, it had two engine computers, one for each bank of cylinders. Rumour had it that the car could run, albeit more roughly and on reduced power, on just one bank if there was a fault with the other side.

Only the brave or those with deep pockets need to apply.

Awesome looking car though. Would love to drive it for a week or two and then give it back.

I'm surprised it made it to 300K.

For 20K you'd think they would fix the climate control panel!  :rofl2:

I have seen exactly one of these on the road.    Late spring 2016 on the 403 westbound.    Driving at near the speed limit, no visible smoke, no parts falling off.    Deep metallic purple.

What a gorgeous car. Easily one of the best looking modern BMWs....300k km and V12 though, you better have deep pockets because the maintenance cost will make Bill Gates wince.
Lighten up Francis.....

I'd buy it anyway if I had $20k.

Very nice GT. It needs some work though. Probably quite a bit more than $20k. And with that mileage, I don't think you'll be driving it a lot. With a little work on the body and interior, it would make a very nice garage queen though.

Yeah, I’d love that car. I just don’t have the stomach for all the repairs anymore.

It really needs someone fairly well off to buy it, completely go through it, and preserve it while still driving it. It would take hella cash, but it’s a V-12 manual car.
