Last 6 digits of VIN unique?
« on: February 15, 2019, 10:02:00 pm »
Can more than one vehicle contain the same last six digits of a VIN? Or are the last six digits of a VIN always unique?

yes it is possible, as the first part of the VIN is the identifier, the last digits are just production numeration. They are usually separated by about 10 years or so, and usually different model lines

an example from my work:

12 Chevy Express 3500
08 Malibu
04 GMC Sierra 1500

...all the same last 8 digits of the VIN
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.
