So far so good.  Jury out until prices and incentives announced.  4 year/80k km bumper to bumper  would be a good move.

rental fleet favourite stays strong

Young buyers are not thinking sedan. IF they are thinking car at all, they are thinking used. What young buyer can afford a new car, let alone with a decent interest rate without a co-signer etc. etc. Nobody.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

The power split ranges from 50:50 to 0:100 front–rear, depending on the conditions

100% to the rear? Didn't expect that.

^^

No different than the Rogue.  Strictly slip and grip.  It's a FWD unit with added ability to get out of stuck situation.  Still a good market move.

Looked at a red SV today. I rather liked it.

The outside isn't too outlandish, the inside looks pretty nice. The seats are great. Engine is adequate and the CVT isn't obtrusive. No mooing, which is nice. The ride is more firm than the Passat, but not terrible. The infotainment worked okay from what little I asked of it. There are cameras everywhere! Apparently it has automatic braking, but I didn't try that out.  ;D

The only downside was a bit more wind and road noise than I'd hoped. Oddly the wind noise seemed to be from the B or C pillar, maybe the rear door seals, I'm not sure.

AWD just makes driving better in the dark months.

In the photo with the “Edition One” badge, the paint’s orange peel effect is horrific.

I'm surprised Nissan brought awd to the Altima.  Even subaru doesn't have great sales figures for the legacy.  they keep going down yearly.

For the price of the altima, subaru legacy offers way more in value.

But staying with nissan, between a nissan rogue SV or altima SV, i'd get the Rogue.

Wouldn't touch a Rogue with a barge poll.

I've had 3 Subarus in the past. A Legacy would cost the same when comparably equipped. The big drawbacks with the Legacy: the ruckus under the hood and the meh interior and seats. The interior and seats aren't terrible, but they aren't going to set the world on fire either.

I never noticed any issues with the paint on the one I looked at. It wasn't a particularly sunny day though. It could be the difference between early production and later ones. Something to note.

Something I have noticed, is the Germans in general do better paint than the Japanese, with the exception of Lexus.
