I still love the 500 Abarth, one will be in my garage as a project car, autocrosser, winter beater...something.

For its size, it is zippy and full of fun. And that is the whole point of this thing: fun.

Cue the "but reliability" crowd...
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

A Fiat 500 is at the top of my list for daughtermobile, because of its steep depreciation. I can get a 2015 Sport with less than 100,000 km for the price of a bent 300,000 km 12 y.o. Yaris that is more "reliable" but will need everything replaced due to wear & tear. Heck with a replacement drivetrain a 500 is still cheaper, And no rust. And still on warranty. And cuuuute.

Only drove a 500 Turbo with stick as part of my "other" career, and it was a hoot!

Completely agree about the 500. Horrid new cars, great used guys because they're so cheap. Pretty soon they will be disposable money. Anything goes wrong, have it hauled off.
