Reasonably quick, the Corolla Hatchback is also fairly frugal at the fuel pump. Efficiency around town is rated at 5.8 L/100 km for the automatic

That would be nice  ;)

That's a pretty nice effort all around, aside from the usual caveats about the grouper mouth and iPad.

It would be if it was true.

According to Toyota, fuel consumption is city 7.5 / hwy 5.8 for the auto and city 8.4 / hwy 6.3 for the manual.

I think it will do well in Canada... we like our hatches. and how bad can a corolla be?! always a solid choice.

with that being said, any other brand who made a car slower, with less space and more expensive than the competition would be thrown to the wolves. luckily, fuel economy and that corolla name will save it from having any true haters.

Where in the review did it say it was slower?

Those two tone seats are freaking awful.

Ditto.  Looks like a built-in infant car seat or diaper or sanitary pad.   :hurl:

I liked the two tones, but now I can't un-see that.

Apologies for the mental image.   ;D ;D :shuffle:

I do agree that two-tone seat designs can be attractive; look at the ones in my new car.  It's balanced and therefore does not look like something stuck on to the surface:

That two tone looks to be the top of the line XSE anyway. No big deal.

Nice to see hatches.  I was sure they were going to die out, ugh.  I wish Toyota would add AWD to the CH-R and make the Corolla hatch the FWD offering.

Huge improvement in terms of looks. The current Corolla is vanilla.

I thought the AWD Matrix was reasonably popular. Odd that they would relinquish that market completely.

Probably just a matter of time. It comes with AWD in Europe
