Yes, glad to hear about the trouble free experience. I feel if it had a turbo, before 135k something would definitely crap out. Is it a 5.3L or bigger?
That's a good way to do it. My father in law has a pulley system with ropes to remove his in the garage.

It is 7 years old now 143,000 km , brakes have been replaced once, tires replaced 19,000 km ago, besides oil changes and air filter , nothing has been done Avg is 16 l/ 100 km
it is a Chev, no surprise.Not the fanciest, but they just work. AB's case is just another story of "it just keeps trucking, and has for nearly a decade"
