Trying to give some background to the "shortage" claim you made. Their initial target was 200k as stated in the 2007 article, which they never hit, so production was reallocated. Those are the facts.
With sales down almost 8% from last year, there really shouldn't be an issue with supply, unless they reallocated production to the Tacoma, which is selling well.
I never said anything about how good the truck was, or why they didn't hit their goals. Markets are a fickled thing.
