Are there any 2wd pickups still available?

Of course. Any of the domestic trucks can be ordered with 2WD in almost any trim level. In parts of the U.S. 2WD outsells 4WD.

That said, in Canada they are quite rare. It's uncommon to see any 2WD trucks on lots around here and if they are available, they're typically entry-level regular cab models.

Rare?  4 on my street!  And my father in law has one.

Rare relative to 4x4s. And how new are we talking?

I think every pickup has a 2wd option....makes sense why they are not popular though.

2010 and newer.  Trucks around here usually have empty beds, 2 people only.  People drive them like daily drivers.  The ones that I see that are 4x4 are crew cabs.   If people want AWD around here, it's SUVs/CUVs.

2WD trucks are a rare sight...whoever claims the opposite is plainly lying.

hope your being sarcastic! Because I am sure it varies by province.  Just checked 6 dealerships in Burlington,  and they have both 4x2 and 4x4.  Probably about 30% are 4x2.  So I wouldn't call them rare.

Here if you have a 2wd truck its either an old classic or some welfare spec fleet truck, very, very little in between

The ones I see are F-150 XLT 4x2.  Not the base trade trim.  Father in law has a blue one.  My electrician friend has a red one.  They even have satellite radio and Bluetooth!

So a whopping 35 4x2s. Change the search to 4x4 and there are 5473 results.

And a bunch of the Toyotas listed in the 4x2 search are actually 4x4s.

When it's put like that sure, kind of rare.  It depends on what your definition of rare is I guess.  I mean is a GTI rare?  Only 2600 sold this year in Canada, where as the Golf was over 20,000.  So is the GTI rare?  Not in my opinion.  Is the Eos rare?  YES!

I consider something rare if I don't see them everyday.  Well I see 4x2 trucks everyday, and GTI's everyday.

my lot currently has 14 trucks (pretty low right now) and 2 are 4x2...

here ya go... just looked up my years numbers at our little dealership... it should be a pretty good idea though...

102 rams sold... 10 were 4x2... all but one of those was a reg cab.

actually surprised me that it was almost 10%... i would have guessed 5% or less. forgot we had a fleet buy 5.
i used to be addicted to soap, but i'm clean now

Settles the debate.  Guess I am crazy, I would have thought closer to 15%!

but also, ram is notorious for not selling many 4x2.... the gm twins sell a few more (traditional truck buyers who tow) and ford sells more due to price...
