Too bad you couldn't take it to a track to see what those off the shelf upgrades would've added up to. Maybe next summer Wing can get this one out at CMP?  ;D

The Challenger is a guilty pleasure of mine. I know it's not as "good" as the Mustang or Camaro but it's much more appealing to me.

I really like the Challenger too.

I thought hard about a used Challenger R/T with a manual transmission that was at the Ford store here. Ended up going all practical because I wasn't sure if there were going to be any more financial surprises, and got the Passat. FOB was appalled.  ;D

seems odd when they do this to a car when their are a full 2 engines bigger in the stable... but i dig it...

only things to add, the screen is 8.4" (as a guy, i know that any bit helps!)... the android/apple stuff will be added to the uconnect for 2017... and the wheels not being mopar, do you mean they don't look like classic mopar muscle? because they are obviously mopar(as in, not aftermarket)... rear seat legroom gets a nope? i hate getting in and out, but never found the space to be that bad.

pretty nice rig. i didn't like that the old "Mopar" editions had to be black with the blue stripes... red is just classic.
i used to be addicted to soap, but i'm clean now

Not MOPAR in terms of is a normal Dodge option, not from mopar's aftermarket catalogue like the other bits are.

Stick a bloody proper manual in the Charger and that will be a much more interesting car than the Challenger. Currently any version of the Challenger other than the Hellcat makes very little sense when compared to a comparable Camaro/Mustang. The Charger on the other hand, V8, sedan, looks good, burnout....life sucking slushbox only  :(  :'(
Lighten up Francis.....

I would buy the Challenger over the Mustang and Camaro if only bc I like the way it looks. Badda$$. Loving it still.

That might be the only category that the Challenger has an upper hand in.

When I see this thing, all I can think of is a 'blunt instrument'.  Not that there's anything wrong with a blunt instrument - a splitting axe can get a lot of useful work done in the right hands.

Ha, this thing gets the same mileage as my old 2015 F250 diesel.  ;D

gotcha! thanks for the clarification.

the challenger/charger line-up gets a crazy amount of factory option wheels... hardly need any parts department options to make it even better...

I like the look of the Challenger in pictures, but then in person, it's just too BIG.  If they just scaled it down a bit, I'd love it.  Leave it in the dryer too long...

If you're gonna spend $50K on a Challenger do you really want the same motor as your next door neighbor has in his Ram 1500 who paid $35K ???

$52K gets you the better equipped RT 392 Scat Pack Shaker.  The Shaker is so corny it's cool.  I'd like one.  :)

This car is safe till end of MY 2020.

Can't you get that engine in the 3/4 ton ram?? Bonus, the 3/4 ton will probably be lighter  ;D
