hasn't been much info online on this all new model yet.  This site seems to have the most detail that I've come across.

They managed to get an 8th seat in there without removing stow and go?

Hm, definitely worth a look now.

A possible mule of a 2017 Chrysler Town & Country PHEV was spotted. 8 passenger, PHEV? Could be a game changer.

It's still there, but foot operation is an option when your hands are full.

Someone commented that they are Chrysler 200 headlights and the front end on that mule does not even close to resemble what the front end of the final product will look like.

http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1017648_2017-chrysler-town-country-spy-shots

The new minivan is due on the market next year, as a 2017 model, and will make its debut at next month’s 2016 Detroit Auto Show.

This time around, the Town & Country won’t spawn a Dodge Grand Caravan twin. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles [NYSE:FCAU] has confirmed that the Grand Caravan will be phased out as part of Dodge's transformation into a performance brand. However, the Detroit Free Press reports that the existing Dodge Grand Caravan will continue to be sold for some years still.

There's been some talk that there will be a new Grand Caravan for Canada, since they sell many more GCs here than T&Cs.

2017 Chrysler Town & Country to get foot-operated sliding doors

TO be fair, any door can be foot operated if you're dexterous enough.  ;D
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

that is one thing i haven't heard. just doesn't make any sense from a business standpoint. same dealers, same car, why make a new package/model with any significant changes?

all that I have heard is that they will continue making the current van for an undisclosed amount of time... so a GC will still be available in canada, but it won't be based on the new van.

I think you're right. I guess with the Grand Caravan staying in production alongside the new model there was speculation that it might be a new one.
